Advantages to using a drone on an inspection:

If a roof is made of breakable clay, asbestos tile or any material where there is a risk of damage from walking on it, the inspector will be able to provide a more transparent picture of the home from an over-head view.
On new roof installations, the inspector could void the manufacturer’s warranty by prematurely walking on it. With a drone, that is no longer a problem.
