Get to know the most common issues associated with older homes, how to recognize potential issues, and how/if they can be repaired or replaced. Topics covered in this course include old houses exterior surfaces, lots and grounds, roofing, chimneys, foundation and walls, support, garages, electrical and more. The goal is to educate and equip agents in dealing with their clients concerning the home inspection process and the conditions commonly found with older houses. This course covers a variety of possible environmental issues in and around the home to enable the licensed agent to better deal with buyers and sellers on transaction details regarding home inspections and environmental issues. Topics discussed in this course include radon, mold, lead-based paint, asbestos, underground storage tanks, urea formaldehyde (UFFI) and more.
