Your builder isn’t the only one working on your new home. Before the last nail is hammered home, dozens of subcontractors and laborers may have had the opportunity to help build it. Safety and structural items can be easily missed. For your own peace of mind, bring in an unbiased, NPI inspector who reports to you and provides a written summary of any defects to be addressed by the builder
Scheduling
Timeliness is essential on new home inspections. In progress inspections, it’s helpful to report concerns before the next phase of construction begins. You don’t want to hold up the construction process and neither do we. NPI Inspectors understand the importance of working with you to schedule the inspection promptly.
Pre-closing Inspection
Leave the details to us. A final walk-through of your brand new home may be part of your contract with the builder. When things are shiny and new it can be easy to miss something that may become a maintenance problem or safety issue later. An NPI inspection will provide a pre-closing assessment of all the major structural and mechanical components of the home which can give you the confidence to enjoy what will be perhaps the largest purchase of your life.
Builder’s Warranty Inspection
In many cases, new home construction comes with a 12-month builder’s warranty. You can take advantage of a last opportunity to address any defects in the home by scheduling an NPI inspection before your builder’s warranty expires. Use our complete, easy-to-read report when addressing concerns with the builder for added clarity.

Your Role
NPI inspectors encourage you to attend the inspection and will review all significant findings with you following the inspection. They will then follow-up with a professionally-prepared written report you can refer to as needed and provide to the builder. Keep in mind few homes are in perfect condition. What you can do is have confidence in the current condition of your new home with a New Construction Inspection by an experienced NPI professional.
Construction Progress Inspection
Construction progress inspections help you monitor the progress of each critical phase of construction from the foundation through the finishing touches. NPI inspectors can provide a written, updated report, complete with photographs of your new home in a format that works best for you. Choose the NPI Progress Construction report or custom design a report that meets your needs for confidence in the home-building process.
